Business Analyst

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading financial services company in Leeds. They are looking to bring in a proven Business Analyst to support a project to develop and implement a centralised group model in QRM (Quantative Risk Management) within Treasury. This is an initial 6 month contract and the day rate on offer is up to £400/day.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible in developing a model in the QRM tool to produce results for a range of scenarios including Stress Tests
  • Establish and build effective relationships with stakeholders to support the high level model project requirements as part of Stress Testing;
    • Input requirements
    • Reporting requirements
  • Establish and build a robust and efficient reconciliation process between the high level model and divisional finance outputs
  • Capture and maintain full documentation of model build and design

Essential skillset/experience

  • Ability to analyse large complex data sets in a logical and methodical manner
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent modelling skills to develop models as efficiently as possible
  • Good understanding of ALM software tools, such as QRM
  • Experienced user of Microsoft based applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Awareness / knowledge of treasury instruments and their modelling techniques
